Vision

This project documents nature through photo journalism and spreads awareness on the continual destruction of historical sites and ecosystems spread across Southern California and proposes actions that we can take as a community to help conserve nature.  Research is based on blog posts of fellow adventurers about areas that are not officially recorded because they are abandoned, unknown, and kept a secret from the general public. Solid evidence are either taken from online articles, personal experience or archived information from the past.

Spreading Environmental Awareness in Southern California:

In a county where we are greatly affected by pollution and are bystanders to the clearing of nature at a large scale for commercial purposes should be a red flag for our city. There is a lack of appreciation and respect for our environment and that is a major problem. The soil we live on and plants we depend on are dying because we have chose to make decisions that benefit our selfish wants that hurt our planet. Through photography, it is my main goal to create this movement of exploration, adventure and connection with nature to inspire others to make a difference. It starts with sparking the interest of your audience. They become captivated by your art and it gets them to start thinking. Would you like to see beautiful, breathtaking places get destroyed? Then comes a strike of reality. Humanity is destroying the Earth and it is happening at such a fast rate that the planet is not given enough time to heal itself. Lastly comes passion, care, and love. The most important part of our journey is to save the environment we live in. And I believe, this evolution can begin with one single photo. There are numerous examples of locations being affected negatively to make room for commercial estates, stripped of its historical beauty because the city simply does not approve or even the long term effect of human pollution. Here are these places and these are there stories.
