San Diego Botanical Garden: The mission of the Garden is to inspire people of all ages to connect with plants and nature.

Personal Experience: This place has a lot to explore. The space is quite large featuring sustainable low-water plants, ponds, waterfalls, and my favorite the overlook. You will explore different pathways leading you into different areas where plants are categorized from their native areas. One place that I newly discovered that I had never knew existed was the over look. At first it looks like an area where you get a beautiful 360 view of Encinitas - that is true, but another surprise is in store! Here lives a 100+ year old tortoise that you can try to find with the telescope! People come to educate their children, sight-see, and even to meditate. If you are a plant-love this is a must-visit place!
